Bergschaf wool – natural white carded batt, a coarse wool of around 30 microns. Despite washing before carding, some vegetable matter may remain. The Bergschaf sheep breed comes from the mountains of Austria and adjacent areas of Italy. Bergschaf is a strong wool useful for projects like boots, rugs, lampshades and bags. The batts are quick to layout and the wool is fast to felt. Also suitable for needle felting and spinning.
