Corriedale fibre

Corriedale fibre comes from the wool of Corriedale sheep with a 125 year breeding history. Originally bred from Merino and Lincoln sheep and extensively used for commercial wool production. This large breed produces wool in the 25 -30 micron range, with a long staple length suitable for hand spinning.

Extensively used for both wet and needle felting for a variety of purposes. Considered a good general purpose wool and available in roving or carded batt format.
